KSET / UGC NET/JRF Exams

The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is a state-level eligibility test conducted specifically for the state of Karnataka. It determines eligibility for the position of Assistant Professor in Colleges and Universities within Karnataka and it’s primarily intended for candidates seeking teaching positions within the state.

 

UGC NET is a National-level eligibility test conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. It determines eligibility for Assistant Professor Positions and also awards junior research Fellowship (JRF) for those interested in pursuing research fellowships in colleges and Universities all over the country.

Exams

KSET exams are typically conducted once a year or as per the schedule announced by the Karnataka State Eligibility Test Centre.

UGC NET exams are conducted more frequently, usually twice a year

(June/July and Nov/Dec), with multiple sessions for various subjects.

To write KSET or UGC NET Exams, Candidates required Master Degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for reserved Categories) from a recognized university.

Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree also Eligible to appear for the Exams.

Paper II: Commerce / Management

 

Note:

M.Com (Commerce) and MBA (Management)

Ongoing PG students are eligible to write the exams.
